today’s brunch viewzzz

What’s more LA than having brunch at a swanky West Hollywood hotel during Memorial Day weekend????? NOTHING, AMIRITE.

This week’s foodie adventure was at the Mondrian Hotel’s Ivory on Sunset. A hotel restaurant made to seem as if you were on the rooftop of the building with an amazing view, but in reality, it’s on the same level as the lobby… LOL. Ivory on Sunset actually sits on a hill behind the hotel that overlooks Hollywood, which gives it the appearance of a rooftop city view.

If you search up the location tag on Instagram, you’ll see what I mean.

I sort of got the view………… but more so captured the rooftop of the home that sits below the hotel, lmao rip.

What makes this place so aesthetically pleasing is the ivy decorated walls that sit between the full length windows– providing you an A1 photo backdrop and some dope views.

Chicken Sandwich (right)– $17
Mimosa– $13

Because we were eating in West Hollywood at a swanky hotel, we weren’t surprised when we saw our hefty check, but hey, sometimes the aesthetic comes at a price, HAHAHA. Despite it being pricey, I really enjoyed my meal here. The service was a bit slow as they were having difficulties in the kitchen, but our server was really nice and checked up on us frequently.

The only down side to this spot is that street parking is impossible to find, even on a Monday. However, the hotel does valet, but with a validation from the restaurant, it still costs $12 for the first two hours. Y’all know I don’t fux with parking and if there’s valet, I’ll take it, but $12 for parking was just as much as my dang mimosa!!! I could’ve gotten two mimosas!!!!!! But I digress, LIKE I SAID, THE AESTHETIC COMES AT A PRICE.

Overall, I really enjoyed my lunch here and I probably would come back again to celebrate a birthday or something, heheh. If this piques your interest, you definitely should call ahead of time and ask for a reservation. When I reserved, I requested to sit at a table on the patio by the window, and though it wasn’t guaranteed they could do it for me, we ended up being able to sit at that table heheh.

Best of luck and happy brunching!
