This trendy place is known as the Roof on Wilshire– located on the roof of the Hotel Wilshire on Wilshire Blvd (the redundance kind of reminds me of Marc Jacobs by Marc Jacobs for Marc Jacobs… lol). This rooftop brunch has been praised for it’s great service, amazing views, and the quality of the food. You can use valet parking within the hotel for $6 with validation from the restaurant.
The valet are super helpful and are probably used to patrons visiting the hotel strictly for the restaurant. You take an elevator up to the 6th floor, walk through another hallway to ride an elevator that takes you to the roof. Once at the roof, you’ll be surprised how aesthetically pleasing everything is. When seated, there is no such thing as a bad view no matter where you sit. We came on a Friday afternoon so it wasn’t particularly crowded but there were many other fellow brunch goers.
We ordered the Egg Sandwich ($13) and the Grilled Cheese ($11). Despite some reviews on Yelp stating the food was bland and nothing special, I genuinely enjoyed the food. Some brunch food makes you sleepy or makes you feel over stuffed, but I was content up until the very last bite. The servers are very attentive and make sure everything is to your liking. Luckily for us, we went on a day that was neither too hot nor too cold/windy. A huge building across the street actually blocks the sun from getting in your eyes and… gives you really great lighting hehe.
When you’re done dining, feel free to go down to the lower lounge area and get some sick pics of your outfit with the view~
