STAYS IN SD

I spent my 21st birthday in San Diego this weekend and I’ve gotta say it was one of the most fun nights I’ve had. There were so many places we wanted to go, but alas, not enough time 😥 I did get the opportunity to visit a few spots I’ve been wanting to try though!

Better Buzz Coffee in Point Loma is as good as it is trendy. Literally down the street from the hotel, we got the opportunity to pay this place a visit. Being the lactard and anti-coffee person I am, I ordered a soy Chai latte for about $4.50. In my head I was like, I’m sure it’ll taste how any other chai latte would, BUT OMG. IT WAS SO GOOD. EVEN FOR JUST A SOY CHAI. Everyone else got things like the Vanilla Buzz and frappes, and even those were good enough for my anti-coffee tastebuds.

Our next stop was Old Town San Diego. It was so cool to see all the different shops. Ponchos, mexican food, chamangos, and little trinkets galore! I tried my first chamango at some random stand for $6 even if it didn’t have the spicy stick thing (eye roll emoji), a $2 dulce de leche filled churro, $1 buttered tortillas, and hella taffy for 60 cents. It was so good I couldn’t even handle, I think I was eating the entire time I was here.

Our last foodie stop was on our way back home in Orange County. We visited the Dirty Cookie in the Tustin Packing District. I got the chocolate chip cookie with vanilla almond milk (LOL lactose problems), but they have other options like the red velvet cookie shot, cookies n cream cookie shot, and double chocolate shot. It cost $4.50 for a cookie shot including whatever milky beverage you wanted in it but you can’t refill your cookie shot… unfortunately LOL. It was actually pretty good but I wouldn’t say it’s worth going completely out of your way for. If you happen to be in the area, definitely pay it a visit. There’s a bunch of other little stores in the packing district so give them a look around as well!
